The Yas Express airport shuttle to Yas Island hotels: the old Y9, the Y5 listed in January 2026, and what to check.

Older Yas Express timetables listed the Y9 as a shuttle from Abu Dhabi airport to the Yas Island hotels, with early-morning departures from the arrivals area.
Property Finder's January 2026 guide lists the airport route as the Y5 instead: from Zayed International Airport to the Hilton, W Abu Dhabi, the Yas Plaza hotels and the Warner Bros. and DoubleTree hotels, with a few departures a day. Visit Abu Dhabi's Yas Express page doesn't list an airport shuttle. If you're staying on Yas Island, ask your hotel whether it runs and when, before you land.

Who can ride
The Yas Express is free. Visit Abu Dhabi calls it a complimentary shuttle and doesn't mention any condition. Property Finder (January 2026) says you board by showing a ticket for a Yas Island attraction or a hotel voucher. Have one ready.
