Dubai to Hatta Bus: Hatta Express H02 from Dubai Mall, the E16 from Sabkha, and the H04 in Hatta
Dubai to Hatta by bus: the H02 Hatta Express from Dubai Mall (AED 25), the E16 from Sabkha, the H04 loop to Hatta Dam, and the last bus back to Dubai.
Hatta is Dubai's mountain town near the Oman border, about 90 minutes from the city by bus. Two RTA buses go there from Dubai, and a third runs a loop around Hatta itself:
| Bus | Route |
|---|---|
| H02 | Hatta Express, Dubai Mall to Hatta |
| E16 | Al Sabkha (Deira) to Hatta |
| H04 | Hop on hop off loop in Hatta |
The Hatta Express (H02) from Dubai Mall
For a day trip, the H02 is the simplest. It leaves Dubai Mall bus station every two hours from 7 AM to 7 PM and goes non-stop to Hatta Bus Station on a coach. The trip takes about 90 minutes and costs AED 25 each way. The last bus back to Dubai leaves Hatta at 7 PM (Khaleej Times; Property Finder, February 2026).
Pay with a nol card, topped up before you go. Khaleej Times says the driver also takes cash, but Property Finder says cash isn't guaranteed, so don't rely on it.
The E16 from Al Sabkha
The E16 is the slower, all-stops route. It starts at Al Sabkha Bus Station in Deira and runs through Oud Metha, Ras Al Khor, Al Warsan and Al Awir, then along the Hatta road through Nazwa and Madam. In Hatta it stops near Hatta Fort Hotel and the Sheikh Khalifa Mosque before ending at Hatta Bus Station. Our data has 35 stops, and guides give the journey as 2 to 3.5 hours.
Our route data gives the E16's hours as 6:30 AM to 10:30 PM, but published guides disagree on its first and last buses, and on its fare. Check the next departure and the fare in the RTA S'hail app before you travel, especially for the trip back.
Some guides list the E16 as starting at Union. In our data it starts at Al Sabkha, and its second stop is Al Ras Metro Bus Stop, on the Green Line.
Getting around Hatta (H04)
The H04 Hatta Hop On Hop Off bus runs a loop from Hatta Bus Station every 30 minutes. It stops at Hatta Dam, Hatta Heritage Village, Hatta Wadi Hub and Hatta Hill Park, and costs AED 2 a stop. Khaleej Times gives its hours as 7 AM to 7 PM, and Property Finder as 7 AM to 9 PM.
