Riyadh Bus Network: Routes, Stops and Recent Updates

Correction, October 2026: an earlier version of this article described routes, frequencies and hours we couldn't verify, and gave the wrong destination for route 9. We've rewritten it with sourced figures and our route data.

Where the network stands

By December 2025 Riyadh Bus had 91 routes covering more than 1,900 km, with 842 buses and more than 2,950 stops (Cairoscene). The network has three kinds of route: BRT on dedicated lanes, community lines between districts and hubs, and feeder lines to Metro stations (Wikipedia).

New routes have been added in stages since the first phase opened in March 2023, including services to the Diplomatic Quarter (Cairoscene).

Routes from Al Batha in our data

• Route 7: Al Batha to King Khalid University Hospital, via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and King Khalid Grand Mosque.
• Route 8: Al Batha to KAFD and beyond, via King Faisal Specialist Hospital.
• Route 9: Public Transportation Center to the North Vegetable Markets, via Al Batha, Faisaliyah Tower and Kingdom Tower.
• Route 10: Al Batha to Al Rawdah, via Riyadh Zoo and the Ministry of the National Guard.

Tickets

One ticket covers buses and the Metro: SAR 4 for 2 hours, with passes of SAR 20 (3 days), SAR 40 (7 days) and SAR 140 (30 days). See the Darb card guide and the fare calculator.

Keeping up with changes

Routes and hours change as the network grows. The Darb app has the current routes, stops and live buses.
