Hamad International Airport (HIA, airport code DOH) has its own Doha Metro station, Hamad International Airport T1, at the end of the Red Line airport branch. A single trip to central Doha costs QR 2 on a standard travel card. Two Karwa buses also run from the airport around the clock.

About the Metro hours: these are the regular hours given by most recent guides. Older guides list a 2 PM start on Fridays, and the last train from the airport station can leave before the network closes. Taking the Metro from the airport
- Follow the Metro signs from arrivals. The station is part of the Terminal 1 building.
- Buy a travel card at the ticket machines or the ticket office. A standard card holds credit and pays QR 2 per trip.
- Take the Red Line towards Lusail. The airport branch joins the main Red Line at Oqba Ibn Nafie.
- Change at Msheireb for the Green and Gold Lines, or stay on for West Bay and Lusail.
Trains going to the airport are marked Hamad International Airport. Trains marked Al Wakra take the other branch, so check the screen before you board.
