The Metro Lines
The Doha Metro network consists of three operational lines. A fourth, the Blue Line, is planned.
Red Line (Coastal Line)
The longest line in the network, running from Al Wakra in the south to Lusail in the north, with a branch to Hamad International Airport (HIA).

Green Line (Education Line)
Runs from Al Mansoura in the east to Al Riffa (Mall of Qatar) in the west, by way of Education City and Qatar National Library.

- Main stops: Al Mansoura, Msheireb, Al Bidda, Education City, Qatar National Library, Al Riffa Mall of Qatar.
Gold Line (Historic Line)
Connects the historic heart of the city, running from Ras Bu Abboud to Al Aziziyah.

Metro Timings & Frequency
Operating Hours:
- Saturday to Thursday: 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM
- Friday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM
During Ramadan 2026 the Metro ran 5:30 AM to 1:30 AM Saturday to Thursday and 9:30 AM to 1:30 AM on Friday. Ramadan hours are announced each year. See Doha Metro timings for the full timetable, including the Lusail Tram and last trains.
The last train from an individual station can leave before the network closes, so check the Qatar Rail app for early or late trips. Trains run every few minutes, more often at peak times.
Fares, Cards, and Passes
Payment is made via reusable travel cards. Cash is not accepted for rides.
