Riyadh Season 2026 by Metro: Getting to Boulevard World and Boulevard City
How to reach Riyadh Season 2026 by Metro: KAFD is the closest station to Boulevard World, Boulevard City and Kingdom Arena, with Metro hours, the SAR 4 ticket and the trip home.
Riyadh Season 2026 starts on Wednesday 21 October with ten weeks of events under the slogan "Big Time" (Gulf News). Boulevard World is back with new pavilions for the Netherlands, Portugal and Yemen, and Boulevard City reopens. Wonder Garden, The Groves, the Farmers' Market and the Ana Arabia exhibition at VIA Riyadh are also on the programme.
The Metro gets you most of the way to the Boulevard zones, though not to the gates.
Is there a Metro station at Boulevard World?
No. Boulevard World, Boulevard City and Kingdom Arena sit next to each other in Hittin, in north-west Riyadh (Wikipedia), and no Metro line runs there.
The closest station is KAFD, where the Blue, Yellow and Purple Lines meet. Travel guides send visitors there and on by taxi (House of Saud). On a map it's about 4 km in a straight line from KAFD to Boulevard World, which is too far to walk. Book an Uber or Careem, or take a taxi, for the last part.
Some sites name other stations for Boulevard City. We couldn't confirm any of them, so we'd plan on KAFD.
Getting there
- Take the Metro to KAFD. From Olaya, use the Blue Line; from the airport, the Yellow Line goes straight there.
- Take a taxi or ride-hail from KAFD to the zone you're visiting. Name the zone, not just "Boulevard", because Boulevard City and Boulevard World are separate zones.
Riyadh also runs a Bus on Demand service in some parts of the city, booked in the Darb app (Time Out Riyadh). Check in the app whether it covers Hittin before you count on it.
Metro hours, and getting home
The Metro opens at 5:30 AM and runs until about midnight (Gulf News). See our Riyadh Metro hours for the details.
That matters for the trip back. Last season Boulevard City was open until 2 AM (Destination KSA), two hours after the last train. If you stay late, you'll need a taxi all the way home, not just back to KAFD. Check the last train from KAFD in the Darb app before you set off, and leave the zone in time to catch it.
No extended Metro hours have been announced for Riyadh Season 2026. We'll update this page if the Royal Commission for Riyadh City announces any.
Fares
One Metro and bus ticket costs SAR 4 and lasts two hours, so a single ticket usually covers the Metro leg there. Use a Darb card, or buy a digital ticket in the Darb app. Ticket machines at the stations take cash and bank cards. See the Darb card guide and the Riyadh fare calculator if you'll ride often during the season.
Before you go
- Event times, zone hours and tickets are on riyadhseason.com. Check them on the day, because big fights and concerts change crowd levels a lot.
- Opening week and weekend evenings are the busiest, so expect to wait for a taxi at KAFD.
