• Activation: The pass activates upon its very first tap-in at any station. This flexibility allows you to purchase it in advance and begin your week of unlimited travel whenever you choose.

For regular commuters and long-term residents, the 30-Day Metropass offers even greater savings and convenience. It's designed for those who rely on Doha Metro and Lusail Tram as their primary mode of transport.

• Cost: QR 120. Qatar Rail sometimes runs promotions, so check the Qatar Rail app.
• Validity: Grants unlimited standard or family class travel for 30 consecutive calendar days from activation.

💡 Purchase & Benefits for Commuters

Both the Weekly and Monthly passes are loaded onto a Standard Travel Card (QR 10).

• When it pays off: a Standard trip costs QR 2, and a travel card stops charging after QR 6 in a day. So the QR 40 weekly pass only beats paying per trip if you ride three or more times a day, every day (7 × QR 6 = QR 42). The QR 120 monthly pass costs the same as two trips a day for 30 days, so it saves money only if you ride more than that. If you ride less, top up your card and pay per trip.
