Jahra Bus Number: Buses to Jahra from Kuwait City, Maliya, Farwaniya and the Airport

Jahra is the town at the head of Kuwait Bay, west of Kuwait City, and the centre of Jahra Governorate. Two bus routes in our route data go into Jahra itself, run by KPTC and CityBus:

Kuwait City and Maliya to Jahra

Take route 103. It starts at Mirqab and stops at the Maliya Sheraton Hotel, then runs along Jahra Road past City Center (Shuwaikh), UN Circle, Andalus, Sulaibikhat and Amghara Camp. In Jahra it stops at Jahra Sports, Jahra Roundabout and Jahra Co-Op before ending at MOC Jahra.

For Jahra to Maliya, catch the 103 going the other way, towards Mirqab, and get off at Maliya Sheraton Hotel.

The airport and Farwaniya to Jahra

The X5 Airport Express runs 24 hours from the airport to Jahra. On the way it stops in Farwaniya, at Khaitan Cinema, at Lulu Hypermarket, in the Hospitals Area, at UN Circle, in Sulaibikhat and in Amghara. From Fahaheel, Salmiya and the south

No route in our data runs straight from Fahaheel or Salmiya to Jahra. The simplest way is through the airport. The X1 and X2 Airport Express routes both run to Airport Road, which is also the airport end of the X5:

1. Take the X1 from Fahaheel, or the X2 from Salmiya, to Airport Road.
2. Change to the X5 to Jahra.

All three run 24 hours. From Kuwait City you can also take any bus to Maliya and change to the 103 there.

Stops called Jahra that aren't in Jahra

Some stops in Kuwait City have Jahra in their name. Jahra Road is the main road west out of the city, and several routes, including the 13, 21 and 101, stop on it near the Sheraton without going to Jahra. Jahra Gate, where route 25 ends, is one of the old city gates in Kuwait City. Check that your bus is going to MOC Jahra or Jahra before you board.

Timings

The X5 runs around the clock. The 103 has no published timetable, so leave extra time, especially for the last bus back from Jahra. Fares are in Kuwait bus fares and passes.
