Two kinds of bus serve Kuwait International Airport (KWI): CityBus Airport Express routes X1 to X5, which run 24 hours, and KPTC routes 13, 99 and 501, which run from 4:30 AM to 11:45 PM.

Some KPTC route stop lists in our data differ from the airport's published list (for example on route 501), so when in doubt, use the published list in the table above.
Which terminal?
Kuwait Airport has more than one passenger terminal. Generally, Terminal 4 is used by Kuwait Airways, Terminal 5 by Jazeera Airways, and Terminal 1 by most other airlines, but check your booking, as terminal use can change. A free shuttle has been reported between Terminals 1 and 4. Ask the driver which terminal stop the bus uses before you get off.
Tips
- Luggage: the Airport Express buses have a luggage area. KPTC buses are ordinary city buses, so a large suitcase can be awkward at busy times.
- Late or early flights: between 11:45 PM and 4:30 AM, only the Airport Express runs. Check the X route nearest you above.
- Allow time: traffic on the ring roads and the Airport Road can be heavy at rush hour. Allow extra time for a flight.
- Pay: have the exact fare or small change; drivers may not change large notes.
