Doha Metro Timings 2026: Qatar Metro and Lusail Tram Hours, Friday and Ramadan
Qatar Metro timings for 2026: the daily and Friday hours of the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram, when Metrolink buses run, Ramadan hours, and how to find your station's last train.
The Doha Metro runs from 5 AM to 1 AM, Saturday to Thursday, and from 9 AM to 1 AM on Friday. Qatar Rail set these hours from 1 January 2025 (Gulf Times), and they apply to all three lines: Red, Green and Gold.

The times are when the network opens and closes. The last train from your station can leave earlier than 1 AM, especially at the ends of the lines, so look it up before a late trip. Qatar Rail publishes first and last departures for each station on qr.com.qa.
Friday
On Friday the Metro opens at 9 AM, four hours later than on other days, and runs to 1 AM as usual. For an early Friday flight or appointment, you'll need a taxi.
The Lusail Tram starts much later on Friday, at 2 PM.
Lusail Tram
The tram runs from 5 AM to 1:30 AM Saturday to Thursday, half an hour longer than the Metro. On Friday it runs from 2 PM to 1:30 AM. You change between the tram and the Red Line at Legtaifiya (Wikipedia).
Metrolink buses
The free Metrolink feeder buses follow Metro and Tram hours (Gulf Times). Each route's last bus can leave before the last train, so check in the app if you're relying on one late at night. Our Metrolink guide lists every route by station.
Ramadan hours
Hours change during Ramadan, and Qatar Rail announces them shortly before it starts. In Ramadan 2026, the Metro ran from 5:30 AM to 1:30 AM Saturday to Thursday and from 9:30 AM to 1:30 AM on Friday. The tram ran from 5:30 AM to 2 AM, and from 2:30 PM on Friday (The Peninsula).
Ramadan 2027 is expected to start around 8 February 2027. We'll add the new hours here once Qatar Rail announces them.
Holidays and big events
National Day (18 December), Eid and large sports events can bring special timetables or station closures. On New Year's Eve 2025, for example, Lusail QNB station and some tram lines ran changed hours (The Peninsula). Qatar Rail posts these on its website and social media a few days ahead, and we update this page when they're announced.
