Doha Sights by Metro: Souq Waqif, Katara, Corniche and The Pearl
The nearest Metro station to Souq Waqif, the Museum of Islamic Art, the National Museum, Katara, the Corniche and The Pearl, and the free Metrolink buses that cover the last stretch.
Most of Doha's well-known sights are on or near the Metro. The Gold Line runs through the old centre, and the Red Line runs up the coast past West Bay and Katara. Where the walk from the station is long, a free Metrolink bus covers it.

Souq Waqif
Souq Waqif station on the Gold Line serves the market directly (Wikipedia). From the airport or West Bay, take the Red Line to Msheireb and change to the Gold Line for one stop. Metrolink M138 also runs from Msheireb Metro Station to Souq Waqif, the Corniche and Bank Street.
Museum of Islamic Art
The museum has no station of its own. On our map, Souq Waqif station is the closest, about 1 km away: walk through the souq to the Corniche. Some guides suggest National Museum station instead, which is further. Karwa bus L538 runs from Souq Waqif along Corniche Street to West Bay.
National Museum of Qatar
Get off at National Museum on the Gold Line, one stop from Souq Waqif. Metrolink M315 runs from the station to Al Mirqab and the Old Town hotel area, and Karwa bus L532 ends at the station.
The Corniche and West Bay
Corniche station on the Red Line is at the West Bay end of the Corniche. From there, Metrolink M143 goes to the Al Jazeera Media Network and Hamad Medical City. For the southern end of the Corniche, near the Museum of Islamic Art, Souq Waqif is closer.
Katara Cultural Village
Katara station on the Red Line is on the west side of the village, a short walk from it (Qatar Living). Karwa buses L502 and L519 also stop at Katara Cultural Village.
The Pearl
There's no Metro on The Pearl. Take the Red Line to Legtaifiya, then a free Metrolink bus:
See the Metrolink guide for how the feeder buses work.
Tickets
The Metro uses a Doha Metro travel card. Metrolink buses are free, but you tap a valid travel card when you board. Karwa buses need a separate Karwa card. For Metro fares, see Doha Metro cards and fares, and for opening hours, the Doha Metro timings.
